Baan Birk Faa

Baan Birk Faa means ‘Deposit on Heaven’.
At any time approximately 30-35 children live at Baan Birk Faa (BBF). They are mostly Lahu children, ranging from a few years old to mid-teens. The house parents (also Lahu) are Pradit and Nacee, and haved loved and cared for the children of this home since 2001.
BBF is located in Chiangmai, Thailand. The children of this home have mixed backgrounds. Some are orphans, some have a surviving parent or other relatives. All come from areas of extreme proverty, and high trafficking areas. The carers of this home have had much heart-ache over the years as they have tried to provide a secure environment that will usher the children into a more stable future, but in spite of the obstacles and set-backs, they have maintained a consistent and faithful approach to the care of the children in this home.
BBF grows their own rice, as well as growing seedlings for other children’s homes. They will soon be moving to a more permanent location, where they also plan to raise chickens, pigs, fish, and grow fruit and vegetables.
