Mission:

Homes_view00

Bridging the gaps to overcome obstacles that hinder orphans & abandoned children & youth from leading productive, fulfilling, and purposeful lives.

Ethos:

Facilitating the networking of locally directed (Thailand) Children’s Homes ministries, to encourage and assist such to identify problems and goals, and to enable and empower such to co-operate together to develop directions, projects and solutions.

Description:

BridgeWorks officially inaugurated in September 2009, though has been informally active for sometime. BridgeWorks has had Foundation status in Thailand from January 2010.
Members of BridgeWorks include the leaders / carers of small, under-resourced children’s homes in the north of Thailand. The leaders are all Christians, and mostly Hill-tribe. They are not ‘employed’ by BridgeWorks. BridgeWorks is a support network of these homes that have been started, directed and administered by the local national members themselves. Most of them have some sort of other part-time work to provide a personal income. The homes themselves are supported by various means, and in some cases this includes assistance from overseas church groups. They also seek to find ways to provide for themselves (eg – rice cultivation). The other members of BridgeWorks are affiliated ministries, and individuals involved with one of the member Children’s Homes, or BridgeWorks projects.
