Four children’s homes came together during the last weekend in March for a sports day at the BridgeWorks centre.
Excitement was high, with the vying for coveted trophies, and the play was high spirited.
Lunch was cooked for everybody with the home-carers bringing most of the equipment, as the centre has yet to be equipped! But it was fun, and every-one seemed to enjoy themselves. The leaders of the homes are hoping to have a monthly Sunday get-together, which will include a worship service in the morning, and games in the afternoon.
In the meantime, BridgeWorks is being inundated with requests from young people who wish to join the transition course – but still no live-in house parents, and not enough resources to get started. We’re cutting things very fine, but figure God knows what he is doing!
